“David Kordansky Gallery is pleased to present The World Tangled in You, an exhibition of new paintings by Maia Cruz Palileo and the gallery’s first presentation of Palileo’s work in New York. Featuring both large- and small-scale canvases, the show finds the artist fully engaging with the complex legacies and material possibilities of painting, as well as an increasingly expansive sense of the ways in which family and personal narratives, geopolitical histories, and formal expression intersect. The World Tangled in You is on view in New York at 520 W. 20th St. from September 10 through October 24, 2026. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, September 10, from 6 — 8 PM.”
